Must be Talking to an Angel

As a child, the first memory I had of an Angel was ‘the tooth fairy’. Which technically is not an Angel, rather a ploy from parents to placate their children when their baby teeth fall out. Much later in life I had personal experiences of protection and one might say things that were ‘heaven sent’. As years went by my interest in the supernatural and occult sciences grew. Surely there must be more to life than meets the human eye? We hear of people talking about having ‘visions’ of Mary or white light that appears from nowhere. Western esotericism have made some pretty wild revelations about what these entities were about.

Are they really winged apparitions and if they do exist, what is the opposite of that? The science of Qabalah offers the law of polarity so we must consider... what is the opposite of an Angel? Is it a demon? Are there such things as dark entities that can harm or as many other have claimed, help us?

When we consider the wheel of the zodiac, there are twelve signs. There were twelve disciples of Christ and as arcane texts have written, Jesus himself was an analogy of the Sun and his disciples, the twelve constellations. Where am I going with all of this?

Athanasius Kircher, who was a brilliant German scholar in the late 17th century, came up with a few theories about the energies around the wheel and the polarities of day and night (see featured image). If we look at the minor arcana in the Tarot, we notice there are thirty-six decans or ten degree increments that make up each card. But if we go one step further we can also divide that into five degree increments to make up seventy-two energies. Or what is also known as the ShemHaMephorash or Shem Operation.

“Shem HaMephorash meaning “the explicit name,” is originally a Tannaitic term describing the Tetragrammaton. In Kabbalah, it may refer to a name of God composed of either 4, 12, 22, 42, or 72 letters (or triads of letters), the latter version being the most common.” - Source Wikipedia

The astral plane of Yetzirah holds the closest thing we have to Angelic intelligence. It sits in the world of Air and of course is the next world above Malkuth or Earth.

When we think of the God we’ve been sold, it’s usually a man that sits on a cloud, with a beard, pretty much instils fear so we don’t ‘go to hell’. Which is absurd. Of course, what I am also about to write is completely rational...

The Hebrew name of God, being the Tetragrammaton, but divided into seventy-two names. It is a god of many  faces and capabilities. In essence, these energies are You. However at your time of birth you are allocated three Angels. One that is elemental and two that are other worldly. One is for the day and one is for the night. Some might say one is good and the other evil. However without getting into the Goetia or other heavy literature, we ask ourselves; what are these intelligences, and who are they?

If you follow your birthchart around the wheel you will not only discover who your Angels are, but how they can help you. If you start with the Angels of the elements, Michael is fire, Gabriel is water, Raphael is air and Uriel is earth. Whatever sign you are, you can call on any of these to provide protection, healing, or grounding. Then you can also dive into your exact birthday and look at what energies or Angels are here for you. There is a long list and they all have different jobs to do. If you want to invoke any of them as a form of meditation, you will be surprised what you will experience. Think of them not as good and evil but positive and negative, light and shadow. We can work with both of these energies on a psychological level in order to become fully integrated and work our way through life, towards divinity. A place where we can all journey through, if you just talk to an Angel.
